Kenny Wayne Shepherd - 4th and B

Click the image below to see the concert slide show

Back in town after just 4 months with his new release "The Place Your In" on a stormy Tuesday night, Kenny put on a great performance for the the fortunate ones that braved the rains.

"Every time you play," says Kenny Wayne Shepherd, "it's important. It doesn't matter if it's a little club somewhere or a big arena with thousands of people – you make a connection. Blues is about real life, real feelings. You can make them feel it."

Kenny Wayne Shepherd was exposed to a variety of music at an early age, and his father's career in radio offered access to entertainers from the rock, pop and country worlds. But the spark that would become a burning passion was struck by legendary bluesman, Stevie Ray Vaughan.

"When I was about seven," Kenny recalls, "we went to hear Stevie. He lifted me up on his amp case on the side of the stage, and I sat there the whole time, watching him play. I was hooked, man. I started asking my dad for a guitar right after that, and I finally got one about six months later."

Crosby Stills & Nash - Viejas Concerts in the Park

Click the image below to see the concert slide show

The musical partnership of David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash, with and without Neil Young, was not only one of the most successful touring and recording acts of the late '60s, '70s, and early '80s -- with the colorful, contrasting nature of the members' characters and their connection to the political and cultural upheavals of the time -- it was the only American-based band to approach the overall societal impact of the Beatles. The group was a second marriage for all the participants when it came together in 1968.

What a great show!  CSN treated the fans at Viejas to a trip back in time, a flash of their youth and a reminder of the realities of life with Suite: Judy Blues Eyes, Teach Your Children,  and Just Cut My Hair....  CSN can still sooth you with their unique harmonies and rock you at the same time.
